Managing Comply Across Multiple Countries

What to expect when your store has active locations in both Spain and France

Comply automatically detects the countries where your store operates and adapts the experience accordingly. If you have active locations in both Spain and France, Comply will show you a unified Country selector where you can manage compliance for both markets from a single place.

How Comply determines your setup

Every time you open the Comply app admin, Comply checks your active Shopify locations and compares them against the markets it already has configured for your store. If it detects a new supported country — Spain or France — it will automatically update your experience without requiring any action on your part.

Country selector

If your store has active locations in both Spain and France, you will land on the Country selector instead of a single-country view. The Country selector shows one card per country.

Each card displays a different call-to-action depending on your setup status for that market:

  • Access — shown for a country you have already configured. Tap it to open the compliance management view for that country locations.

  • Get Started — shown for a country that has been detected but not yet configured. Tap it to launch the onboarding wizard for that country locations.

What happens if you open a new location in a new country

If your store was already set up for one country and you later open a location in the other supported country, Comply will detect this the next time you open the app admin and redirect you to the Country selector automatically.

For example:

  • If you were set up for Spain and open a new location in France, you will see a Spain card with Access and a France card with Get Started.

  • If you were set up for France and open a new location in Spain, you will see a France card with Access and a Spain card with Get Started.

Your existing configuration and data for the original country are never affected by this change.

Supported countries

Comply currently supports fiscal compliance for:

  • 🇪🇸 Spain (Verifactu / SII)

  • 🇫🇷 France (Loi anti-fraude-NF525)

If your active locations are outside these countries, Comply will let you know that your region is not yet supported.
