Setting up Comply is a straightforward, guided process that takes just a few minutes. You’ll simply need your business's tax information on hand and follow the configuration steps provided.
During the onboarding process, you'll define the applicable fiscal environment, input your company’s legal details (or those of your sole proprietorship), and activate the integration with Shopify POS.
If you’re unsure which fiscal regime applies to your business or what specific information to provide, we strongly recommend consulting with your tax advisor or accountant to ensure everything is configured accurately from the outset.
Verifactu
Comply (DAP Consulting SL) is an official Social Collaborator of the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT). This status allows us, through the official “Direct Representation Authorization Model” for software vendors, to act on behalf of taxpayers in submitting electronic invoicing records to the AEAT via the Verifactu system.
This authorization model is specific to invoice submission and does not confer general power of representation for any other interactions with the Tax Agency.
As part of the onboarding process, you’ll be required to digitally sign the official Direct Representation Authorization Model, as specified by the Verifactu regulations.
We will prompt you to download this document for signature, which formally authorizes DAP Consulting SL, developer of Comply, to submit your invoicing data to the AEAT on your behalf. This authorization is mandatory under Spanish fiscal law and strictly limited to this specific data submission. It does not grant any broader powers of representation.
Signing this document ensures legal compliance and enables secure, automated communication with the Spanish Tax Agency.
TicketBAI (coming soon)
For TicketBAI, the process is similar. DAP Consulting SL maintains a collaboration agreement with the Basque Provincial Tax Authorities (Diputaciones Forales) to submit TicketBAI-compliant invoicing files on behalf of third parties.
During the onboarding flow, you will be prompted to download and sign a document authorizing DAP Consulting SL, provider of Comply, to transmit your invoicing data to the corresponding Provincial Tax Authority. As with Verifactu, this authorization is mandatory and exclusively limited to the automated submission of required invoicing records. It does not grant general legal representation.
Signing the document ensures full compliance with regional fiscal legislation and allows for secure, lawful automation of your tax reporting obligations.
SII (Immediate Supply of Information)
In the case of Spain’s Immediate Supply of Information (SII) system, onboarding with Comply is considerably simpler—primarily because Comply does not submit (either in real time or after the fact) any invoices to the AEAT via the SII.
Instead, Comply provides:
Sequential invoice numbering (reflected on the printed receipt),
Generation of invoice records that follow the required format,
Structured CSV export of invoicing data for manual or external submission to the AEAT.
