I have a custom receipt but the invoice information is not showing

How to make sure Comply's information appears correctly on your custom Shopify POS receipt.

Written by Alvaro

If you have customised your Shopify POS receipt and Comply's information is not showing, the most common reason is that the sales-receipt.liquid file does not contain the code Comply needs to insert data into the receipt.

Required code in the sales-receipt.liquid file

The sales-receipt.liquid file must include the following lines inside the <body> section:

liquid

<body>
{% # This section is used by POS UI extensions to show information for the header %}
{% render 'extensions', extension_blocks: extension_blocks.header %}

//customer code

{% # This section is used by POS UI extensions to show information for the footer %}
{% render 'extensions', extension_blocks: extension_blocks.footer %}
</body>

This code defines two zones in the receipt where Comply automatically inserts invoice information: the header and the footer.

What you must not modify

Do not remove or modify these lines. Specifically:

  • Do not remove the {% render 'extensions' ... %} blocks.

  • Do not change the names extension_blocks.header or extension_blocks.footer.

  • Do not alter the structure of the blocks.

If they are modified, Comply will not be able to display the information on the receipt.

What you can customise

You can freely modify your own receipt content, styles, and any text outside the extension blocks.
