🇫🇷 Selling offline in France
In France, Shopify POS doesn't work without an internet connection. You can't build a cart or take payment while your device is offline. Because an offline sale can't happen, no POS sale is ever left without a fiscal receipt in France.
🇪🇸 Selling offline in Spain
In Spain, you can still take a POS sale while offline. Comply needs an internet connection to fiscalize it, so if your device is offline at the moment of payment, the sale goes through but the printed receipt won't carry any fiscal information yet. This recovery process gives you peace of mind that every transaction is recorded correctly in Comply.
Comply recovers the sale automatically once you're back online
You don't need to do anything to fix this. Once your POS device reconnects, the order syncs to your Shopify admin. Comply then detects that the sale has no fiscal receipt and generates it for you. Every POS sale ends up with a valid fiscal receipt.
After the fiscal receipt is generated, you can reprint the receipt from Shopify POS. The reprinted copy will now show all the fiscal information.
Important: No POS sale is left without a fiscal record. A sale made offline is fiscalized as soon as your connection returns and the order reaches Shopify Admin.
What date appears on a recovered fiscal receipt
A recovered fiscal receipt keeps the original date of the sale. That's the operation date, the day your customer actually paid.
When Comply generates the receipt after a delay, the issue date can differ from the operation date, because the receipt is created later than the sale itself. Both dates are recorded on the fiscal receipt, and nothing else about it changes.
