I want to configure my store for the Immediate Supply of Information (SII). How do I do it? (Step 0)

To configure the SII, you must do so during Step 0 of the registration process (Tax Compliance System and Tax Regime). In the Invoicing Computer Systems Regulation section, select:

Spain Territory >Not subject to any of the conditions set out in Articles 1.3, 3.3, and 5 of the Regulation > Subject to SII

My store is located in the Canary Islands, Ceuta, or Melilla. How should I configure Comply and taxes in Shopify? (Step 0)

If your business is located in the Canary Islands, Ceuta, or Melilla, you must not only configure taxes correctly in Comply, but also ensure that taxes are already properly configured in Shopify, according to the applicable tax regime.

To configure taxes in Comply, this must be done during Step 0 of the registration process (Tax Compliance System and Tax Regime).

In the Applicable Tax section, select:

  • IGIC for the Canary Islands

  • IPSI for Ceuta and Melilla

Additionally, you must configure taxes in Shopify, as Shopify is responsible for calculating and applying taxes to sales during checkout. Tax configuration in Shopify is managed entirely within the Shopify platform.

Comply’s role is limited to generating the corresponding invoices for all POS transactions and, in certain cases, submitting them to the public tax authorities for proper filing (e.g. Verifactu).

I am a company representative but I have a NIE. How should I configure it?

If, in Step 0, you selected Verifactu under the Invoicing Computer Systems Regulation, and in Step 1 you registered a business, you may complete your details as the legal representative of the business using either a NIF or a NIE.

This information will be used to digitally sign the modelo de otorgamiento. iregardless of the type of identification document provided.

I am having issues validating the signed representation document. What should I do?

If, in Step 0, you selected Verifactu under the Invoicing Computer Systems Regulation, you are required to sign the modelo de otorgamiento so that Comply can submit all generated invoices to the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT).

If, in Step 3 of the Verifactu setup, you experience issues validating the signed document, Comply may reject the file due to one of the following reasons:

  1. You are registering a company / legal entity, but the document has been signed with a natural person’s digital certificate instead of a legal entity certificate (as company representative).

  1. You are registering as a sole trader (self-employed), but the document has been signed with a legal entity digital certificate instead of a natural person’s certificate.

  2. The uploaded document contains a digital signature that does not match the information provided in previous steps. Please verify that the data entered matches the data associated with the digital certificate.

  3. The document does not contain a qualified digital signature and has instead been signed using Adobe Reader, Acrobat, or another PDF editor by drawing or inserting a handwritten mark. This type of signature is not legally valid for this procedure.

If you have reviewed all these points and the issue persists, you may share the signed document with our Support Teamdirectly from the same screen in the registration process (indicated by a blue arrow).

I am having issues activating the Comply app on the POS sales channel. How can I fix it?

f you experience issues activating Comply customizations in Shopify POS (Step 3 in the SII configuration or Step 4 in the Verifactu configuration), it may be because you have not previously accessed the Shopify POS app. Please proceed as follows:

  1. Download the Shopify POS app (available for iOS and Android).

  2. Log in to your store using your email address or by entering the activation code displayed on screen (below the QR code).
Go to https://shopify.com/activate and enter the 6-letter code.

  3. Once logged in, return to the Comply setup and click again on the button to activate the Comply app, or follow these steps manually:

    • Go to Sales channels > Point of Sale > Settings in Shopify Admin.

    • Under General > POS apps.

    • Open Comply POS UI Assistant.

    • Click Add for both available POS customizations.

I place the test order and Comply does not detect it. Am I missing a step?

If you have reached the final step of the Comply registration process, where you are required to place a test order from Shopify POS, but Comply does not detect the order or returns an error, this may be due to one of the following reasons:

  1. Ensure that the Comply button is correctly configured and visible in Shopify POS. If it is not visible, go to Shopify Admin > Sales channels > Point of Sale > Settings.

    1. Under General > POS apps.

    2. Open Comply POS UI Assistant.

    3. Click Add for both POS customizations.

  2. Verify that the order total is greater than €0.

If the issue persists, please open a support ticket via our in-app chat.
